"Empire appears to have faster spring green-up, greater spring and summer vigor, and less fall/spring large patch susceptibility than other comparable Zoysia species. Also, Empire appears to have an inherent darker, lush green color. This dark green color and its excellent vigor could potentially require less N annually than other Zoysia species.  In short, I really like this Zoysia species."
